Bioaugmentation
A walnut tree capacity to uptake nutrients from soils depends on its interactions with the established microbiota in the immediate area surrounding its roots, known as rhizosphere. It is in this area where specific species of microorganisms promoting the growth and production of walnut trees prevail, among others, while interacting at the same time with the rest of the soil food-chain.
Our work is aimed at the bioaugmentation of the number of growth promoting microorganism species for walnut trees, specifically as a function of plant type, and the physical, chemical and biological conditions of the soil.
